Salvaging question. - Guild Wars Forums

1. Are you supposed to be able to salvage parts off of weapons you receive as quest rewards?

Thing is, I received an axe for completing a quest in Ascalon yesterday. I was able to to salvage a haft from it. However, when I received a staff from another quest, I wasn't able to salvage anything at all off of it.

You cannot salvage quest reward weapons. Also you can't salvage green or collector's weapons.

Note that if you were able to salvage the haft off a quest axe its a bug that needs reported to Anet.
